EDITORIAL

It's the equivalent of Niki Lauda, Emerson Fittipaldi and Jody Scheckter getting back in their balloon–tyred F1 cars. Then, joined by James Hunt's son Freddie in his father's McLaren M23, the four of them would out–brake each other and opposite–lock their way around Silverstone or Brands Hatch.

Yes, it was what many observers have described as the 'musical event of the year', the one–off concert in London by Led Zeppelin. Our correspondent reports that the remaining members had lost nothing of their musical dexterity, and if Robert Plant has had a self–imposed 'rev limit' set on his voice in the interests of long–term durability, fair enough.

You wouldn't expect one of the few drivers experienced enough to be entrusted with a pre–War Auto Union or Mercedes to take it right up to the limit, would you?

Back to things purely automotive, the new Design Studio at Gaydon is a masterpiece.

The many guests at Tuesday night's opening party were able to admire the launch of a truly innovative design with styling features rarely seen elsewhere.

Aston Martin unveiled the V12 Vantage RS concept, too.

Until next week, the last ClassicInside of 2007.
