26/01/2007 Type Aéronavale Limited Edition Timepieces
At the specific request of the French Naval Air Force, watch-maker Bell and Ross has announced two limited editions of the Pilot chronograph, originally designed for aerial navigation.

Produced in two series of 150 watches each, the Type Aéronavale – worn proudly by pilots as the emblem of their squadron – carries the three-colour motif of the ‘Chasse Embarquée’. The timepieces are offered in either acrylic glass or sapphire glass and, thanks to the black matt dial with photoluminescent hands and anti-reflection glass, are easy to read at night as well as in the day.
The Pilot Acrylic – Type Aéronavale, with its ultra-curved synthetic glass, is water-resistant to 100m. In addition to the hours, minutes, seconds and date functions, it has both 60-second and 30-minute counters and comes with either a stainless-steel bracelet (2,700 euro) or leather strap (2,300 euro).
Meanwhile the Pilot Sapphire – Type Aéronavale offers a 12-hour counter in addition to the 60-second and 30-minutes counters and, shielded by its anti-glare sapphire glass, is water-resistant to a depth of 200m. The price is 3,000 euro if you choose a leather strap, or 3,450 euro for the version with the steel bracelet.
