The Most Expensive Harbour in the World 15. Monaco Yacht Show
From September 21 - 24, on Port Hercules in the Principality of Monaco, the Monaco Yacht Show will celebrate its 15th anniversary reinforcing its position of world leader in prestigious yachting exhibitions. The MYS has evolved hand-in-hand with the luxury yachting sector - a sector that has flourished over recent years. Some of the reasons for the event's resounding success include targeting the top-of-the-range niche, organisers that listen to their clients, and an outstanding venue.

After 7 years of progressively expanding the exhibition site, the MYS is reorganising its overall infrastructures to cater more efficiently for the requirements of exhibitors and visitors alike:
- The overall surface area has been limited to 14,000m2. It will accommodate 530 exhibitors - the same as in 2004 - and 90 handpicked yachts in the water.
- The show will be contained within Port Hercules, making it easier to see everything.
- A new, 3,200m2 air-conditioned tent on Darse Sud will accommodate 130 firms - mainly equipment manufacturers and service providers.
- The air-conditioned tent on Parvis Piscine will expand to cover 2,600m2. It will accommodate shipyards, designers, interior decorators and the national pavilions (France, Australia, Denmark, Dubai, etc). Luxury products and services - such as private aviation and fine clocks and watches - will round off the palette of exhibitors.
- A further 80 linear metres will be added to the floating pontoons in front of the central "T", which will be accessible from the quayside on foot.
- To optimise the flow of visitors, the layout inside the air-conditioned tents will be reorganised and the main entrance positioned at one extremity of the site: on Darse Sud.
Stands are held by 530 leaders in the international yachting industry and related businesses: 95 shipyards including 14 of the top 15 shipyards in the world (SBI 2005 rankings) - 40 brokers - 55 naval architects and interior designers - 185 equipment manufacturers - 70 service providers - 22 luxury brands - 20 tenders - 20 federations - 23 magazines.
