Always with an eye on the historic racing enthusiast, Simon Hope and the H&H team have assembled a catalogue for thir next sale that includes several competition cars.

This 1959 STANGUELLINI FORMULA JUNIOR is estimated at £14000 - 16000 and, identity issues aside (the car is one of two laying claim to the same chassis number), would provide fun for someone looking to emulate Moss, Fangio et al at the fraction of the price of a 250F. There's also a 1948 CONNAUGHT L2 SPORTS RACER at £35000 - 40000, the fourth of just six beam-axle L2s produced, 'AHC 82' also has the distinction of being the first privateer car and comes complete with FIA HTP papers, as does the 1959 TRIUMPH TR3A RACING CAR. For £19000 - 22000 the potential historic racer can have a car suitable for the Le Mans Classic (it's already participated in every running of the event to date).

If road cars are more to your taste there are four ASTON MARTINS entered, ranging from a 1978 DBS V8 for £3000 - 4000, to a 1995 VANTAGE SUPERCHARGED at £54000 - 58000. Arch-rivals FERRARI are represented by three examples, including a 1973 365 GT4 2+2 for £12000 - 14000. An underrated model..

H&H are strong on pre-war cars and this time these include two LAGONDAS, a 1933 16/80 T3 TOURER for £34000 - 38000, and a 1936 LG45 DROPHEAD COUPE for £68000 - 75000. There's also a sportingly elegant 1932 ROLLS-ROYCE 20/25 HP ALLWEATHER CONVERTIBLE at £48000 - 52000.
