Christie's Auction at the Concours d’Élegance Paleis het Loo, Holland 31 August 2003
For the first time Christie’s International Motor Cars in collaboration with Christie’s Amsterdam will be holding a sale of impressive motor cars and automobilia during the Concours d’Élegance. This sale will take place at Paleis Het Loo, the former residence of the Dutch Royal Family on Sunday 31 August.

Approximately 50 cars will be offered as well as a fine selection of automobilia including old signs, mascots, Ferrari luggage, sculptures and paintings.
Initial highlights already consigned for this sale include a 1936 Bugatti T57 Atalante Coupé (€500.000-700.000), a 1928 Bugatti T-43 Grand Sport (€350.000-450.000) and an extremely rare Pegaso Z-102 with coachwork by Saoutchik (€160.000-240.000).

The sale also features "Property from the Collection of the Late Ado Blaton", entrepreneur and brother of the famous racing driver, Jean Blaton, including a Rolls Royce, Bentley, Jaguar and a 1961 Cadillac Fleetwood State limousine. This limousine was formerly the property of HRH Princess Lilian of Belgium, widow to HRH King Leopold III and acquired directly from her by Ado Blaton in 1990. Estimate: €40.000-60.000.
Additional highlights include a Mercedes 380 K Limousine from 1933 (€120.000-160.000) and a 1973 Jaguar E type V 12 Roadster. This car has only driven 6000 miles from new and carries an estimate of €30.000-50.000. A 1987 Ferrari Testarossa will be offered which was shown at the Dutch Car show, the Auto Rai, in the Ferrari stand (€30.000-50.000).
