Geneva 2011: the Most Luxurious Range Rover Ever

The new Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition, due to appear at next month’s Geneva Motor Show, will include such luxury touches as rear cabin Apple iPads, the finest, soft, handcrafted leathers, machined aluminium detailing and a ‘superyacht-inspired’ teak loadspace floor.

Engines are a choice of the LR-TDV8 or the effortless LR-V8 Supercharged. While Range Rover drivers have long benefited from the characteristic commanding driving position and excellent visibility, the first-class-style accommodation provided for rear passengers is a world first in a Range Rover – and suggests its suitability as a chauffeur vehicle. There are, for example, two standalone electric rear seats, a rear console extension with a machined aluminium laptop table and drinks chiller, and two Apple iPads as standard.

The interior detailing is further enhanced by semi-aniline leather seating and Oxford leather on the door casings, dashboard top and steering wheel. Kalahari wood veneers are used on the fascia and door top rolls, while two new, unique exterior colours, Roussillon Red and Otago Stone, are available, along with body-coloured door handles, dark atlas radiator grille and side vents.
