With only 55,400 miles from new, this matching numbers example was owned by a single family from new until 2005. Finished in primrose yellow and with its original cerise hide interior, the owner informs us that the car is in good to very good condition having recently been meticulously re-commissioned by an ex-Jaguar engineer specialising in E-Types. A new soft top was installed and all pressure hoses were replaced, along with the steering box; the brakes were overhauled together with the shock absorbers; the carburettors were rebuilt and the engine thoroughly tuned, amongst other work. We are informed that it's an excellent drive and keeps good solid oil pressure. Modern creature comforts include an FM radio with an iPod link and new speakers. Various bills and all MoT certificates since 1976 accompany the car, as well as a V5 document, current MoT valid until 2013, a letter from the previous owner confirming the car's history, a factory repair manual, a driver's manual and a Jaguar tool kit. An eminently usable example of the classic E-Type coupled with effortless V12 performance.
