| This Jaguar XK 150 OTS/Roadster has just arrived in the Netherlands. It is an example of the ultimate driving XK. A lot of money has been spend on the car during a nut and bolt, body off restoration which has been done in between 2006 and 2008. A file with pictures and invoices show that every nut and every bolt has been taken apart. During the restoration the owner decided to make it the ultimate driving XK which is also looking fantastic. It is quite often that a restoration is mainly focused on the looks or only on the driving aspects. In other words, it happens quite often that a car looks fantastic but is driving horrible or that it drives fantastic but that it looks horrible. This car has been restored with both aspects in mind. By looking at the car, it can be easily seen that the looks are outstanding. The chrome is excellent, inside the doors it looks the same as the rest of the body (quite often, the not shown places are looking not as nice as the rest of the car) the door fittings are perfect and the interior has been perfectly restored. Actually it is quite clear that if one looks at the restoration pictures that the restoration should cost now more then the price/value of the car at the moment. During the restoration, the owner took some very good decisions to improve the drivability of the Jaguar. It is therefore now a very spectacular car to drive. The car is fitted with a 3.8 litre engine as well as a 5 speed G-Trac gearbox. This combination makes it a fantastic car to drive with. It is very quick in its first 2 gears and it can be cruised if one put the car in its 5th gear. Amongst the engine and gearbox, the Jaguar has some upgraded disc brakes, an electronic ignition, a stainless steel exhaust so all together, it is a car which has been made to drive. Actually it has not driven a lot since the restoration was finished in 2008. It is believed that only 6.000 miles have been driven on nice weather days. One cannot see on the car that these upgrades are added and that makes the car very nice. The car looks as described above extremely nice. The gentlemen who painted this Jaguar has done an impressive job because the car is extremely straight. Most of the time when one sees a dark colored car, one can also see a car with a lot of waves in the paint. In this case, one can see that also the paintwork has been done extremely well. The restoration has been done very carefully on every aspect on one can see this on the perfect door fittings, the beautiful chrome and the superb interior. Actually we can write a much longer story, but this specific example is just very nice and a superb driving machine with the best possible extra’s.
