An all-too-rare opportunity to acquire one of the few Autofarm 911 full bespoke builds.
Kyle Fortune, Pistonheads: “Editor Trent's email asked to mention a car I've written on Pistonheads this year that's 'rocked my world'. Pretty much everything worthy of publication on PistonHeads has, but in a year where I've been in a number of racecars - including two Aston Martins, Merc's SLS AMG GT3 contender and even a race seat a seat alongside Editor Trent in Team Jota's MX-5 there's one car that really stands out. The Autofarm 911 I drove back in January. It might have caused controversy among some on the forums here, but classic looks, decent, useable performance allied with turn-key reliability make it the car I'd love to own. The beauty of the driving experience can be summed up in one word - feel. There's loads of it. Whether it's the constant stream of information coming from the steering wheel, the brake pedal or just the seat of your pants, the Autofarm 911 reminds you that driving doesn't need to be about electronics."

This is a vehicle built to our full Autofarm 911 build specification throughout, which specifies a total build to as near new as is practical. A bespoke build, based around an original 1972 911T and built into a fully galvanised 1989 3.2 G50 coupe donor bodyshell, using all steel panels to the original period 911S bodystyle. Completed in 2007, the finished vehicle has benefited from our full Dinitrol cavity injection and underbody proofing.
Engine is a fully rebuilt and re-mapped 260bhp 3.6 litre 964 engine to original specification, plus is fitted with a period RS specification ‘SSI’ full stainless steel exhaust system.
Transmission is the fully rebuilt 5 speed Getrag G50 unit from the donor bodyshell, fitted with a Limited Slip Differential.
The detail rebuilt suspension and steering from the donor bodyshell features uprated Bilstein shock absorbers front and rear, along with uprated rear torsion bars and an adjustable early layout front anti-roll bar.
The detail rebuilt servo assisted braking system has been upgraded with a full set of Boxster Brembo 4-pot alloy calipers with ventilated brake discs front and rear.
Fitted with 7J and 8J x 15" Fuchs alloy wheels with Pirelli 195/65 and 215/60 P6000 tyres.
The totally restored interior is fully retrimmed in black leather, including dash top, knee guards, door cappings and lightweight style door trim panels. Seats are the original period Recaro Sport items with headrests, retrimmed in black leather. Carpet is deep-pile black to the period Lightweight style. The steering wheel is a Porsche badged Momo leather rimmed wheel.
The car benefits from detail rebuilt mechanical and electrical control systems throughout, and includes uprated halogen headlamps, electric sunroof and windows, and a Becker CD / Radio with door speakers. A battery isolator is fitted.
A Toad Cat 1 alarm / immobiliser is fitted and is fob operated in conjunction with the central locking system.
This car is still as new, and is equally at home on the open road or prowling the streets of London - a stunning re-creation of the classic early 911 style, yet providing the reliability, longevity and performance benefits provided by modern technology. Totally practical for everyday transport on our modern roads, plus weekend motoring fun in the classic pre-’74 ‘Early 911’ style, this car is built for the decades to come.
