Among the last of the (c.) 26 genuine 'Lightweights', hand-built in aluminium by AC Cars Ltd. at Brooklands, Surrey. This magnificent 14,500 miles metallic burgundy example has had considerable sums spent on the engine (blue-printed with c. 365 bhp gives 0 - 100 mph in under 10 secs. and 160+ mph), modified suspension and diff. ratio etc. In addition, the dash is to authentic 1965 Mk III 427 S/C spec. with original type Smiths gauges and switches etc., plus many other period components. With its full weather equipment it is eminently suitable for international touring as well as being potentially competitive in Club events.
Freshly serviced with new MOT, this is a very special AC Cobra indeed, and an absolute exhilarating delight to own and drive.
A complete spare set of 17" Halibrand pattern 'split-rim' wheels and tyres go with the car. The Reg. No. COB 225 may be available by negotiation.
