| Stunning and exceptional Ford Mustang Shelby GT-Hertz. Left Hand Drive. Finished in Black with Gold stripes and black hide interior. In 1966 the Hertz renttal corporation approached legendary tuner Carroll Shelby to build them a special version of their GT350 Mustang. These 1000 cars are now legendary and amongst the most collectable American muscle cars built. 40 years later and the Hertz corporation revisited that relationship to build just 500 hand built Shelby GT-Hertz Mustangs. To convert these cars from a standard Mustang, Shelby completed a range of modifications including uprating/calibrating of engine, lowering and stifffening of suspension, installation of front and rear anti roll bars, fitting of an LSD rear axle, fitting of a special bonnet and a free flow exhaust system. Once each car was completed, each car was assigned a unique Shelby chassis number. The car that we are delighted to now offer is number 488 and one of only four that have ben imported to the UK. Having originally served its rental service in Florida, this car was purchased and imported to the UK in 2007 where it has since been cherished and has now covered just 23,000 miles. This car is supplied with all relevant Shelby authentication paperwork and has been upgraded with Ford Racing 14" Brembo brake upgrade, Ford ducted brake upgrade, Corsa performance exhausts, uprated Shelby wheels and Avon tyres and the Shelby stripes have been painted in original Hertz gold. Boasting performance figures of 0-60mph in 5.5 secs and a top speed of 155 mph from its 4.6ltr V8 engine, this car is also seriously good fun to drive! Supplied with full service history in a complete history file, this UK registered car is now presented in immaculate condition throughout and will appeal to any serious collector.
