| A copy of the original Aston Martin Warranty Card, that is in the history folder, shows that the car was originally supplied to a Mr R R Kearsley by Wilmslow Garages. However, the V5 Registration Document notes the original owner as John Fritchley of Sutton in Ashfield. What is beyond dispute is that the history folder has service documentation in Mr Fritchley’s name stretching back to 1971 and clear evidence of his long term ownership of the car. Sold by Mr Fritchley in 2008, the car passed into the hands of a Belgian classic car specialist, Classic Car Service of Antwerp from where it was acquired by the current owner. After attending to some routine service items, the owner decided that the car deserved a comprehensive refurbishment and the car was placed with the greatly respected Alan Smith Motors of New Romney for the work to be carried out. The £28,000 investment in this work delivered sufficient quality for the car to enter AMOC Concours events and means that the car is presented in outstanding order. Long term ownership by an Aston Martin enthusiast provided Alan Smith with a sound foundation to base his refurbishment / restoration and this can be seen in the presentation quality of this car. Demand for DB6 continues to grow and their values are escalating – here is a car whose restoration means that a new owner can look forward to huge enjoyment of ownership and the reassurance of a sound investment.
