This Exige Cup Car is a special Factory Tuned Race Car based on the Exige S road Car but factory race prepared for maximum power and handling. The Cup Car model is rated at 255 HP from its supercharged and intercooled 1.8L motor. Suspension is race prepared with Ohlins multi way adjustable Coil Over shock absorbers and adjustable front and rear sway bars. Lotus added monstrous AP Racing Brakes to stop the car properly and effectively as well as Yokahama race slicks for ultimate grip. The interior is equipped with a full Roll Cage to protect its occupants as well as to stiffen the chassis. A removable steering wheel is used to ease entry and exit to the cockpit, a left side window net for safety and racing harnesses are installed for both the driver and passenger. The driver race seat is from Recaro. This Exige Cup Car is a factory prepared race car through and through. Over the course of the company's history Lotus set out to produce superior race cars by making them lightweight & aerodynamic. The Exige Cup Car is the culmination of all of Lotus' technology to this point; it is fast in a straight line and scary fast around corners.
