White with Green and Orange stripes, Completely Restored, Serial # 11899019R, Engine # 4080178, Type 901/02.
911 R # 11899019R was sold new in 1968 by Vasek Polak Porsche to IMSA racer Bob Barnes. Apparently it was never picked up by Barnes and instead sold in 1969 to Cullen Crabbe (Buster Rabbe’s son).
Cullen Crabbe raced it in IMSA specification (White with Orange Stripe/# 32 livery). It was sold in 1978 to Bill Lanphear, Burbank, California. It was restored in 1985 by Dan McLoughlin of AIR (American International Racing) although it was sold to a Japanese collector without its engine and gearbox.
While in Japan a 2.0 liter 901/02 motor with correct gearbox was sourced and installed to this 911R. This 911 R remained in Japan until August 2005 when it was re-imported to the United States by Symbolic Motorcar Company, San Diego, California. At this time it was sold to its current ownership where it has remained until recently being consigned for sale with Autosport Designs, Inc.
It is currently in show condition with all correct 911 R bits and pieces.
