| 1934 Bentley 3 ½ Litre Drop Head Coupe by James Young Chassis B193AE Delivered new in May 1934 to C.A. Cochrane of London W1. B193AE then proceeded to change hands 5 times until 1956 when Mr James Ellis of Cheyne Walk acquired her and kept her until 1994. During his ownership the Bentley was used extensively for camping holidays between London and Lands End. It also saw many continental trips between London and Mr Ellis’s holiday home at Tori Del Benarco (Lake Garda). In 1971 it took part in the BDC Alpine Rally and the Dolomite Rally the following year. It appeared in the TV film “Rebecca” with Jeremy Brett, and with David Niven in the film on the Life of Alexanda Korda. Between 1975 and 1979 B193AE was restored, cosmetically by the Dudley Heath Partnership and mechanically by Arthur Archer of Dunmow Essex it saw a Class win at an RREC rally in 1977. Further improvements were made in 1996, after it was acquired from Ricardo Mazzucchelli by marque specialists that warranted a class win at an RREC rally in 1997.
