| The Daytona Spyder is a truly rare vehicle. Only around 120 were built in total with just seven in right hand drive specification. As a consequence of the rarity of the Spyder model a few Berlinettas have over the years been converted. The operation on this immaculate example was carried out in the mid 1980`s by the renowned Ferrari marque specialist Terry Hoyle for an avid collector in the UK. No expense was spared in the conversion and power assisted steering was added. Some years later the car was sold and it eventually passed into the ownership of a Celebrity Radio DJ, television personality and discerning Ferrari owner! The car was then completely restored. The engine and chassis were totally overhauled by Ferrari specialist Joe Macari in 2009. Tappezzeria Luppi in Modena were then commissioned to carry out a complete re-trim in red and black hide to include the new black mohair roof. The headlights were converted to conform to accurate Spyder pop up styling and the coachwork was completely stripped and re-painted. The car’s condition is now concours. This Daytona Spyder conversion is presented in Nero Daytona black with the interior finished in Rosso and Nero.
