| The Silver Cloud of 1955 was the second generation of steel-bodied saloons manufactured by Rolls Royce. The earliest model was given a straight 6-cylinder, 4.9L engine from the Silver Dawn. However, the 1959 Silver Cloud and subsequent models had a V8 OHV, which was also used in the Bentley 8-cylinder model. The Rolls Royce Silver Cloud though had a uniquely different frame from other models. This drophead coupe has a subtle elegance, and is one of the most impressive models created by a specialist coachbuilder for Silver Clouds. The Silver Cloud II may look like a standard Silver Cloud Saloon steel body simply made into 2-door convertible. However, that was not the case as one of the most prestigious Rolls-Royce coachbuilders, H.J. Mulliner, made special aluminum bodies exclusively for this model. This Silver Cloud has been delivered as a left-hand drive to Switzerland, originally a RHD. Two owners, 27500 original miles, extremely well maintained, recently repainted in its original color combination, runs very well. Very rare, one of 107 made. Chassis # SYD118. Color ext. Blue/Black, Color int. Blue leather. Only serious request will be considered.
