1973 was the final year for the series of Mustangs that famously began in 1964 1/2. They were superseded in 1974 by the downsized Mustang II with 4-cylinder and V-6 power. When you re a Ford dealer who s had a good run with the Mustang it was only natural to become nostalgic about its demise and one such dealer set this late (June) production Mustang Grande aside, exactly as it was received from Ford. It has never even been pre-delivery prepared and has been preserved carefully and consistently since then. It now has just 199 miles from new. Its history is well known, having been featured in an April 2004 Mustang Monthly article and is obsessively and completely documented. Paper includes the original window sticker, Ford gate release, consumer information window sticker, owner s manual, color selection book, spare keys with code tags, warranty facts booklet and Mustang brochure. Equipment includes the 351 cubic inch 177hp V-8 engine, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes and air conditioning. The color is Saddle Bronze Metallic with a Medium Ginger vinyl roof and matching interior. Needless to say, it has a complete owner history from the time it left Ford and still has everything it had exactly as it left Ford s Dearborn assembly plant thirty nine years ago: every sticker, clamp, hose, assembly mark and daub of lubricant is exactly as it was built. It is one of the finest, best-documented time warp automobiles in existence and an appropriate memorial to one of the most successful and influential models ever built, the Ford Mustang.
