| 1954 Fiat Stanguellini Bertone Berlinetta S/N 71366 Engine No. 103.000 *073540* Pale Yellow with Grey Cloth and Cuoio Leather Beautiful, striking, and rare Scaglione-designed, Bertone-built experimental Fiat with Stanguellini high performance 1100cc power. Wonderful art deco coachwork Evocative of the highly coveted Alfa Romeo B.A.T. series cars by Bertone. Intended for a debut at the Salone Torino 1953 where Fiat presented the Fiat 103 to the Italian market following the model's debut at the Salon Geneve in Switzerland a month earlier. Reportedly purchased by Briggs Cunningham for his wife, Laura. It was sold a short time later to Luciano Tonino, an Italian who had moved to New Jersey and who continued to have close ties to family and friends in Italy. After a time he gave the car to his brother Alcide as a wedding present. Retained by Alcide for some 51 years until 2006! Recently restored to exceptional standards and shown at the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours in 2010. Rebuilt engine and refreshed transmission by Jere Brown. Cosmetically restored inside and out with fresh, near flawless paint and upholstery. Many wonderful and unique coach built details. A welcome entrant to virtually any major concours venue anywhere in the world. Eligible for many rally and tour events in North America and Europe.
