The F2001 is Ferrari’s 47th racing car designed
specifically for the Formula 1 World
Championship. Powered by a V10 engine, the
new single seater was designed and built in
Maranello.
The design of the body differs substantially from
that of previous cars due to the modifications
called for by the new FIA technical regulations to
improve safety.
Compared to the car that won the World
Championship last year, the most obvious
differences concern the aerodynamics, with a
lower nose cone, the front wing positioned higher
and longer side pods. These modifications were
all developed in the wind tunnel in accordance
with the new regulations. As far as the running
gear is concerned, the new 050 engine is a
stressed member and is mounted longitudinally,
as is the sequential electro-hydraulic 7-speed
gearbox in pre-machined and welded titanium.
The F2001 retains the periscope-style exhausts.
Great attention has once more been paid to
lowering the car’s centre of gravity – working on
both the chassis and engine – and concentrating
the car’s mass to optimise balance.
The 050 V10 engine is the result of lengthy
research into materials and lubricants aimed at
reducing reciprocating masses and internal
friction to improve engine response and power.
The design processes used by Ferrari’s engineers
contribute in no uncertain terms to building a
car that is as reliable as possible despite the
technological exasperation involved in the
construction of all its components.

This car was the Schumacher car winning Melbourne 2002 and Malaisya.
Car has actually a potential capacity of 1300 kms Engine/gear box of running.

EX Schumacher. 1 ere à Melbourne en 2002 et 3 ème en Malaisie.
LA voiture a 340 kms depuis son inspection à L'usine.
Il reste un potentiel d'environ 1300 kms moteur/boite. Traction Control.
