| . The Ferrari 512 Berlinetta Boxer was launched at the 1976 Paris Salon and was the replacement to the now iconic 365 GT4 Daytona. A total of 929 examples were produced and only 101 delivered to the UK. The flat twelve cylinder engine in the 512 BB is the same configuration to the 365 GTB4 although increased in size, power and torque, up from 4.4 to 5 litres. The Weber carburettors system on this Boxer engine was the last to be fitted to a production Ferrari as the next model had the injection system. After the Ferrari F1 team secured three constructers titles from 1975 to 1977, Ferrari found time to create a racing version of the 512.
