This is an extremely rare car, a wonderful original Early Pantera. It is from 1972 and is finished in White with Burgundy interior. The car is UK Registered and it has a new MOT. It was previously resident in the USA.
De Tomaso's replacement for their successful Mangusta in 1971 was the avantgarde and stylish Pantera. Maintaining the best of the ingredients from the Mangusta, including the mid mounted 300 horse power Ford 351 cubic inch V8 Cleveland engine, 5 speed ZF transaxle and dramatic styling, the Pantera also added monocoque construction in to the mix.
The cars sold well with production running from 1971 through to the early 90s with various derivatives emerging from the factory, although it is the early cars that have a certain purity that has ensured they remain the most attractive and thus collectible.
The car is showing 67,000 miles from new but we cannot guarantee this as genuine.
Interior: This car is very nice inside with a burgundy trim, which looks lovely with the White exterior. All the dials and instruments work as they should and the cabin is a wonder to behold.
Exterior: Our car is finished in White and it seems very good and original, the paint may be too good to be completely original but there are no flaws or marks anywhere.
Mechanical: The car drives exactly as it should, engaging gears easily and idling smoothly. You may want to change the fluids for your own peace of mind but there is nothing to address.
Summary: A real time warp car. It will be sold with a new MOT and Tax. It can be registered anywhere in Europe with no difficulty. Be quick with this one!
If ever there was an undervalued supercar, this is it, it is only a question of time before lovely original Panteras are huge money. We sold the last couple within a week of them going on sale, it should be the same with this one!
