Dispatched from the factory 13th December 1938 to Rossleigh & Co. Ltd of Edinburgh, frame number M8/ 2047 still retains its original Matchless engine ( BS/X 4738 ) to this day. Having been restored some ten years ago the bike featured in an article in the Classic Bike Guide Oct. 2002 before heading back to Scotland as the property of the Laird of Strathendry, who owned the bike for some ten years. Remaining in excellent condition throughout and in great mechanical order the bike has some upgrades to SS80 De Luxe specification. It comes with a MoT to May 2013, the UK V5C logbook, a copy of the factory record card and the CBG article. Exotic motorcycles don’t get much better than this, as the restoration has had time to age perfectly, the bike has a fantastic look while still in very good cosmetic condition. Mechanically it is joy to ride, the 982cc V Twin runs very well, with plenty of pull. This is a really fine collectors motorcycle.
