Which means, quite simply, that the highest bidder wins. The dark green Cobra recreation, complete with race numbers, is made by the Saier company and powered by a 2.9-litre Ford V6. An alternative, should you be more of an Alfa Romeo fan, could be the 1985 Alfa Romeo GTV Alfetta GTV.
How often do you see a totally originally Mercedes-Benz W123 coupé? The 1979 280 CE to be sold on 15 September is one to consider. With no tuning parts or modifications, the car is authentic right down to the original-pattern alloy wheels. Also painted green is the 1989 Lancia Thema 8.32, the famous Ferrari-engined ‘Q car’ capable of giving many a sports car driver a surprise.
And for those who fancy something totally different, why not bid on the red Panhard 24 CT? A typically individual French design from the 1960s, you’re unlikely to see another one at a classic car meeting.
Also in the sale is a 1982 Porsche 911 ‘G model’ SC 3.0 Targa, a cute 1958 Lancia Appia C10 S and an elegant 1974 Fiat 130 Coupé.
