Blum Swatch collection sells for $US6.5 million in Hong Kong

Phillips de Pury & Company has sold Peter and Linda Blum’s collection of rare Swatch watches as a single lot for HK$51,060,000 – that’s around $US6.5 million.

The 4370-piece collection was bought by an anonymous mainland Chinese buyer.

Commenting on the result of the eight-lot sale which grossed HK$51,707,500, Finn Dombernowsky, Managing Director Europe, Phillips de Pury & Company, said: “Tonight’s result was the passionate response to the offering of an iconic collection which is a true reflection of 'Contemporary Culture'. We look forward to our future sales in Asia.”
