Aston Martin to show its first production V12 Zagato at the 2012 Kuwait Concours d’Elegance

The third Kuwait Concours d’Elegance – 15-18 February, now very much part of the ‘season’ – will see the first-ever showing of the road-going Aston Martin V12 Zagato.

Until now, the latest car from the great British company to carry bespoke, Zagato-designed coachwork has only been seen in racing specification. After a debut at the 2011 Ville d’Este Concours d’Elegance, two cars were entered in the Nürburgring 24 Hours.

Deliveries of the car, limited to no more than 150 examples and costing £330,000 (excluding local taxes), will commence later this year. It will be built at Gaydon, to a typically flamboyant design from Zagato, in conjunction with Aston Martin's director of design, Marek Reichman.

Dr Ulrich Bez, CEO of Aston Martin, said, “We are excited to show the new V12 Zagato for the first time in production form at the Kuwait Concours d’Elegance.

“Over 50 years since the introduction of the iconic DB4GT Zagato, Aston Martin and Zagato have collaborated to create this modern interpretation which remains true to the original focus of craftsmanship, performance and exclusivity.”

The new car will be joined in Kuwait by an original DB4GT Zagato, among many other rare and desirable concours entries.
