| As with so many of the early XK120s, this Left Hand Drive example was delivered new to the USA via their New York concessionaire Hoffman. Originally finished in Black with Biscuit and Red interior, build was complete on the 4th of June 1951 and it was dispatched just ten days later. By the early 1990s, the car had returned to the UK (as did so many at the time) and was sold to the most recent Italian owner in May 1991. It has been kept and maintained in Italy since and formed part of a large collection. The subject of an older restoration, it is now presented in dark green with black leather trim. Of note, the structural condition is superb throughout and panel fit is in particularly good order although it should be noted that some Italian artistic licence has been applied such as the fitment of ‘local’ headlights and the like. The gearknob and steering wheel have also been changed to aftermarket items and the front brakes have been converted to discs. Running well, it should be noted that the engine has been replaced at some point and the tonneau is missing. Having just gone through a UK MOT, it shall be offered with UK Registration. Very attractive and imminently usable, sitting on painted wire wheels and with twin Aero screens it really looks the part! Any inspection welcome, worldwide shipping can be arranged if required.
