Lake Forest Sportscars sold the car to its first owner, classic car collector Neil Andrews of Birmingham, Alabama and the first service was completed on 21st March 1989 by Daniels. There are no other stamps in the service books, however, the car remained in the hands of the original owner until sold to Aston Martin New England in October 2010. They immediately set about a thorough re-commissioning of the car that had recorded a mileage of just 4,403 miles in its life. The invoice value of that service was $19,388.35.
Following that service, the car was acquired by the current owner and to be taken to the UK. Shipping invoices show payment of full EU/UK tax liabilities on the car and the new owner’s workshops did a substantial amount of additional work on the car prior to its UK registration 6th April 2011. Some of this work was necessary to present the car for registration but there was also detailed cosmetic finishing in order to present the car to the highest possible standards.
With so few of these cars produced, and the majority originally going to the United States, this returning example represents a fantastic opportunity for a collector or an enthusiast. Its low mileage, its outstanding condition and its rarity offer value. But, after its substantial re-commissioning, it is the ideal Aston Martin for truly stylish European road trips and roof down motoring.
