A truly unique Vignale bodied Aston Martin, supplied in chassis only form to Vignale and bodied in an elegant fast-back design, originally ordered for His Majesty the King of Belgium. Currently in as found condition, in need of full ground up restoration. The project represents a major opportunity to acquire a truly unique 50's Aston.
We would welcome the challenge and privilege of restoring this magnificent and important Aston Martin, the final specification will be to the future owner’s preference, the engine etc can be standard 3 litres or upgraded in power, other areas are suspension, steering, gearbox etc, to be discussed, we welcome your enquiries.
The car was delivered to Vignale as a DB2/4 chassis only on 28th September 1954. It was then completed in a one-off distinctive fast-back design, with a large opening rear hatch. This stunning Grand Tourer was then delivered to His Majesty King Boudwin of Belgium on 10th March 1955. It was fitted with the later, three litre models and the 1.73:1 ratio.
NB This unique Aston Martin has begun a total restoration by Aston Workshop.
