Paris 2010: Jaguar C-X75 Concept

Jaguar’s new four-wheel-drive electric supercar, the C-X75 concept, uses four 195bhp electric motors to produce a remarkable 780bhp and 1180lb ft of torque. But the most groundbreaking aspect is the electric car’s range.

Not only is the C-X75 able to reach a top speed of 205mph – and accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds – but two micro gas-turbines, spinning at 80,000rpm, can generate enough electricity to extend the range to a staggering 560 miles. Emissions, meanwhile, are kept down to just 28g/km by means of the Jaguar’s plug-in charge capability.

Jaguar’s Design Director, Ian Callum, calls the stunning new concept car a “statement of intent”.
