It has also become the yardstick by which super performance cars are measured...When the 427 Cobra hit the streets, [racing driver] Ken Miles...decided to put a 427 Cobra to the test...The result, according to Sports Car Graphic editor Jerry Titus, who was there, was an incredible 13.2 seconds. It should be noted that this was achieved on concrete, with street tires- narrow and fairly hard Goodyear Blue Dots.
