Description

This outstanding AC Bristol chassis number BEX 261 was built for competition purposes in black with a red leather interior and many extras including front disc brakes, upgraded engine and overdrive. Delivered new to André Chardonnet the period French AC importer in March 1957 and registered in Paris 36 FY 75, it was used to promote the make in France.

Between 1957 and 1958 A. Chardonnet entered the car in numerous events giving the wheel to famous drivers such as Jean Behra. The car’s main racing achievements are :
