The heart of Ducati aficionados always begin to beat faster at the mere mention of the legendary victory of Paul Smart in the Imola 200 Miles in 1972 against the giants then, such as Giacomo Agostini on an MV 750 which was difficult to hanadle. The Ducati 750 SS sold some time later is a tribute to this victory. It offered the looks that made Ducati motorcycles admired by all sports fans: the L position of the motor designed by Fabio Taglioni, the 90° angle formed by the cylinder, the asymmetric fins, the Conti exhaust that caused a furious syncopated roar, all participating in the making of the legend of the brand from Bologna.
