The Monaco-based luxury boat builder and ski manufacturer, Wally, has expanded its Power range with the launch of the 19-metre ‘64 WallyPower’.

A name very familiar to those on the yacht scene, but a little surprising to those outside it, Wally offers a truly impressive product line-up which includes some stunning sailing yachts and fairly staggering mega- and giga-yachts. This newest member of the family sits neatly between the 13.6m WallyTender or 14.7m 47 WallyPower, and their bigger sisters in the Power range. The 64 WallyPower has all the distinct characteristics of Wally’s motor yachts, with a sharp-edged, elegant, sleek profile and – thanks to the unique hull shape – wider decks than most boats of a similar size. Transparency was one of the key criteria for superstructure design, and the deckhouse is almost completely glazed. There is a choice of propulsion systems – the standard pair of MAN V12 1360HP engines can achieve 43 knots, while the beefier pair of MAN V12 1550HP units boast a top speed of over 50 knots, for those who want something a little nippier. In each case, Rolls-Royce Kamewa A45 jets guarantee serious performance. One deficiency is the small range: just 300 nautical miles, or approximately 540 kilometres.

The 64 WallyPower is available with three choices of interior layout: two cabins or two three-cabin options, including one particularly suitable for families with children. Each cabin has an ensuite shower room and each of the variants also has a crew double cabin – again with ensuite. Clients can customise their boat, specifying the choice of wood veneers, lacquered woods, metals and fabrics, etc. The social area is generous for a comparatively small boat, with a dining table that easily accommodates up to eight people, plus a lounge with coffee table. The interiors feel spacious – in part due to the extensive glazing – and the aft deck features comfortable cushions, making it ideal for sunbathing.

Six of these new models are to be built each year, with the first two scheduled for delivery by the end of June – and Wally is building a dedicated facility near Fano, in Italy, to produce the extended WallyPower range.
