The Lotus Evora 400 gives us new hope

In recent years, Lotus has been bogged down in merchandising, motorsport and about-turns regarding the brand’s philosophy. But in Geneva, the British manufacturer will return to doing what it does best by revealing a new, lightweight sports car: the Evora 400…

The new Evora 400 is exactly what you would expect from Lotus: a quick, lightweight sports car for the purists, designed to perform both on road and on track. Thanks to a supercharged 3.5-litre V6, the car produces 400HP and, benefitting from a number of weight-saving measures, can lap the marque’s Hethel test track some six seconds faster than its predecessor. Lotus’s new hope will debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March.
