Lagonda Taraf now available in Europe – but you’ll need a golden ticket

When Aston Martin announced that the revived Lagonda saloon would be sold only to Middle Eastern customers, the marque’s enthusiasts closer to home were none too happy. Now, the company has revealed that the Taraf will also be available in Europe and South Africa – but only to a select few…

Hand-built at the Gaydon chocolate factory

The Rolls-Royce-rivalling Lagonda Taraf super-saloon has now received approval for sale in EU legislation-compliant Continental Europe, the United Kingdom and South Africa, and can now be specified in either left- or right-hand drive – but only by Aston’s most cherished customers. Just 200 examples of the 6.0-litre V12-engined car will be hand-built at a dedicated site by the Special Projects division, making it a bespoke brother to the Vantage GT3 special edition, One-77, V12 Zagato, CC100 Speedster Concept, and the new Vulcan hypercar. The price of the Taraf remains undisclosed, with Aston Martin reasoning that it's "likely to be significantly different in each case due to very high levels of bespoke content", provided by the in-house ‘Q’ division.
