Colour: Antrim Blue Interior: Parchment Delivered: June 1999 Kmh: ca. 58’000 The Aston Martin V8 Vantage 550 was the last fully hand built Aston Martin. From 1993 – 1999 in total 239 (135 RHD, 99 LHD) Vantage and 40 Vantage Le Mans (18 RHD, 22 LHD) were produced. About 60 of these cars were upgraded to V600 specification. This car is full of extremes, 600 bhp, top speed over 200mph, 0 – 100 3.8 sec, 800 nM torque. In the 90-ies this was one of the very few super cars. The cost of the upgrade alone at the time was £43’000. The total price tag for the car at the time was over £ 233’000 (over sFr. 540’000) for the full package. The full upgrade included as well as an up rated engine from 550 – 600 bhp, ultra lightweight hollow spoke magnesium Dymag wheels, giant brake discs with circumferential cooling grooves plus AP racing callipers, stack digital instruments and reworked suspension with Eibach springs, adjustable Koni's (V600 Super Sports conversion), a stiffer anti-roll bar and a five speed close ratio manual transmission. Very few cars have it all. This is one of them. After a complete overhaul at Aston Martin works Service the car is today in immaculate condition. Works Service performed a full Motor Revision, re-sprayed the car, the suspension was upgraded to Super Sports levels, everything was thoroughly checked and fixed where necessary. The total cost for this work was over Pounds 115’000. Ownership Details: - Delivered to Mr. van den Steen on 21st June 1999 through Aston Martin importer Rene Michiels in Belgium - In July 2001 the car was sold to Mr. David Goran McClean, of Alderley - In May 2008 the car was acquired by Gerard Lopez, the co-Owner of the Renault formula 1 Team - In February 2010 the car was bought by the present owner who had it sent to works Service for a complete overhaul.
