| Often described as a motoring ‘piece of art’ and named to celebrate Maserati’s success in the 1957 Sebring 12 Hours, these classic 60’s Maserati’s are now appreciating rapidly and becoming very hard to find. Designed by Alfredo Vignale, this strikingly beautiful and rare matching numbers series one car has been in Italy of its life and for the last 10 years formed part of a private collection. The current owner decided to undertake and subject it to a 2 year total nut & bolt restoration. All mechanical components including the engine, wiring, brakes and the ZF 5 speed gearbox were completely overhauled. It was decided that Lucas Fuel Injection would remain rather than swapping to Webbers as the Lucas injection is known to enhance the performance from the 3485cc straight-six. The finished product is quite superb…..painted in Grigio Inglewood with a new black hide interior and sitting on period Borrani wires, she looks better than new. Sebring’s are fast becoming one of the most collectible of historic Maseratis and due to their rarity auction prices are now climbing whenever one come to the market. Offered for sale in wonderful restored condition.
