This is one of only 53 right hand drive Club Sport models supplied by Porsche to the UK market. They are now very highly regarded by Porsche collectors and provide a very pure driving experience. The specification has resulted in the Club Sport being a real ‘sweet spot’ in the 911 range. This example is one of the best - it has covered only 16,000 miles from new and is in completely original excellent order with a full Porsche service history.
This car was supplied new by Ian Anthony, the Porsche main dealer based in Bury, Lancashire. It was one of the last Club Sports available and was not registered until 1st August 1989. It was supplied to a high specification - optional extras included Limited Slip Differential, storage compartment to the rear and graduated top tint windscreen.
The first owner, a Mr N Wright of Stockport, retained the car for two years and covered 6,500 miles. The car was serviced twice during his ownership by Porsche dealer JCT600. In 1993 AFN Porsche sold the car to a Mr Light of Rotherhide, London - he again kept the car for up two years at which point the car had covered 12,000 miles. In July 1995 it was purchased by well-known collector, Richard Allen, who kept the car for only a few months before selling it to well-respected dealer, Bramley, in Surrey. They had the car serviced by AFN before selling it to the last owner in November 1995 at 13,944 miles.
Since then the car has covered only 3,000 miles with the same owner, the car only being used gently in dry summer conditions, being stored at all other times in a heated garage. It has been extremely diligently maintained with annual servicing being completed by the Porsche Centre in Wilmslow, Cheshire.
The car remains in superb original order and it drives as a new example would with no wear evident anywhere - it even smells like a new Porsche! The car comes with all original books including stamped service book and Club Sport manual supplement in the correct wallet, all keys and tools and a history file documenting ownership history, all service invoices and past and current MOT certificates.
