|--Silver Birch with Red leather interior and Red carpeting, 5-speed manual transmission, Factory Left Hand Drive, Factory Air Conditioning, Matching numbers, 77,000 miles, Original and unmolested. |
Originally delivered through J.S. Inskip in New York City, this DB5 has enjoyed three owners from new, its last owner since 1981. It has never left New York and has always been used and enjoyed as a seasonal car by enthusiast owners who have cared for this DB5 from new.
This DB5 was repainted in 1985 and has received new carpets in 1995, the remainder of the car is completely original and maintained when and where needed to date. The interior leather is original, some would say charming, some will say it should be redone. Our feeling it that originality like this cannot be returned to a car and this choice should be left to its next new owner.
Recent servicing includes a full service tune up, cylinder head service, removal of cylinder head with servicing as needed prior to refitting, water pump rebuild, new cooling hoses-clamps, new accessory belts, oil cooler has been replaced, detailing of the engine bay and various ancillaries, repainted cam covers, refinished radiator fan, refinished factory airbox and polishing of fan shroud and cam cover breathers. Rear axles, differential and Watts linkage have been inspected-serviced, new hub and axle shaft fitted, all was then cleaned, detailed, painted and reinstalled. Miscellaneous other items have been serviced to bring this DB5 to its present excellent mechanical condition. An extremely detailed invoice for all is included.
On a recent road test, this DB5 performed properly and as it should, a testament to the exceptional love and caring this DB5 has enjoyed from new.
Although a factory air conditioned example, the air conditioning unit was removed many years ago. All parts are preserved-complete and with the car for re-installation should the next owner require.
This DB5 is complete with original owner’s manual, spare keys, original grease gun, original radio and factory jack, complete history from the early 1970’s.
An extremely hard to find factory LHD DB5 in excellent original, well-serviced condition. This DB5 is a true find and superb for those who appreciate “real and honest” originality.
