Auto Union AG was formed in Germany, 1932, by four German automobile manufacturers: Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer. The company's logo - the four-ring emblem - symbolised the unity of the four founding companies. The company evolved into Audi, which is now a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group.
