Trade-in car. We have purchased a Studebaker Avanti from the United States for you. This barn find is completely original and runs perfectly, a very rare example. The Avanti was a very special car in the 1960s. The special design of the Avanti comes from none other than Raymond Loewy, the man who also designed the Coca-Cola bottle. It was, according to Studebaker, "America's only four-passenger high-performance personal car." High performance was the Studebaker for sure! The top speed was no less than 286 kilometers per hour. Our car has driven only 95,695 miles and is technically in top condition. The engine has always been well maintained. The 4.7 liter supercharged V8 engine runs excellently and the four-speed manual transmission shifts tight and free of play, as it should.The technique is based on a relatively simple concept (large engine and a supercharger) and therefore actually “bullitproof”. So Studebaker decided to travel with the Avanti to the salt flats of Bonneville and make a run for several records. In total, the Avanti managed to collect an impressive 29 pieces. All those records have been surpassed. through the ravages of time, but what still stands today is the extremely powerful Avanti, even by today's standards. The car is completely made of fiberglass, the Studebaker does not suffer from rust. The chassis is also rock solid and in perfect condition. In addition, the body was completely repainted in the recent past and is therefore in beautiful condition. The interior is completely original with a beautiful patina. The nice thing about this Studebaker is that you actually have two options. Drive it as is, in its technically good condition but with the “barnfind” interior or fully restore the car to its former glory. Where can you still find an original Avanti supercharger today?
