Introduced in 2000, the RUF RGT was the inaugural 911-based model of the 21st century for Alois Ruf Jr.'s storied marque. The original RGT reinterpreted the 996.1-generation GT3 through RUF's distinctly engineering-driven lens, notably enhancing the Mezger 3.6-liter flat-six to 395 horsepower (up from the standard GT3's 360 horsepower output); achieved through a bespoke performance exhaust system, new air filter, and remapped engine management. Visually and mechanically, the RGT was unmistakably RUF, featuring the marque's signature aero kit with a redesigned front bumper, side skirts, spoiler sill extensions, streamlined side mirrors, and a larger rear spoiler. Beneath the surface, RUF fitted their famous Integrated Roll Cage (IRC) system, a fully trimmed cage discreetly concealed within the cabin. The RGT came in either rear-wheel drive or optional (and much rarer) all-wheel drive, and was additionally fitted with an uprated brake system, incorporating massive 350-millimeter discs and six-piston calipers up front. While existing Porsche owners could send their 911s to Pfaffenhausen to be brought up to RGT specification, RUF produced just 17 RUF RGTs with true RUF W09 VINs-just five of which reached the U.S. when new.

This 2001 RUF RGT is finished in SEA S2P Mandarina Perlado, a special order color believed to be unique to this particular example. This striking exterior finish is complemented by an unforgettable interior sporting two-tone red and tan upholstery, black floor mats with RUF logos, and the roof and roll cage trimmed in burgundy. This example is further equipped with all-wheel drive, air conditioning and RUF-branded two-piece OZ Racing five-spoke wheels.

According to its clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report, this example was first registered in Dallas, Texas in December 2002. It accrued most of its miles here through the original owner, passing annual emissions inspections before it was sold to dealer inventory in September 2010. The car transferred to Porsche North Houston in 2016 and received a comprehensive service there before it came into the care of the consignor in 2017. It received further work from Indiana-based Porsche and Audi specialists Sierra Motorsports, most recently an oil change and fluid/filter inspection in August 2025.

Now offered with 32,655 miles at consignment, this 2001 RUF RGT is a true one-off even by RUF standards, pairing its mesmerizing special order finish with an equally bespoke interior to craft a visual and tactile statement that cannot be ignored.
