Beschreibung

On the 12th of March 1960 captain John T. Cox, then stationed in Germany, signed a sales contract with the Porsche agents Grosskloss in Saarbrücken for a new Porsche cabriolet. In May of the same year he finally received his 356 with a 75 hp engine, thus started an adventurous journey of this Porsche. As a high-ranking army officer of the US forces captain Cox was later stationed in Japan and then returned to the USA always accompanied by his beloved Porsche cabriolet. Until 2019 the 356 stayed with its first owner who, an officer to the bone, maintained a detailed record of the Porsches life and kept each and every receipt. The car was then taken over by a Dutch gentleman who had it completely restored by a specialist before importation into Holland. The result was this fantastic cabriolet in its original colour combination of “ivory” with a red leather and black softtop. In 2023 the Porsche was finally taken over by the vendor and imported into Germany but driven sparingly. This outstanding 356 is in fantastic condition and of course has a Porsche birth-certificate, a Reuter-folder as well as a completely documented history, a must for any well-furnished Porsche collection. The car has German documents on H-plates and Swiss custom duties have so far not been paid. For a Swiss buyer the car will be properly imported by the vendor.
