Beschreibung

The car offered here is exceptional in more than one way. It is, first and foremost, a true and authentic Lancia works car (chassis number: 459388, registration: TO74782L) which was entered in the 1989 Marlboro Safari Rally of with the team of drivers Jorge Recalde / Jorge Del Buono, bearing the race number “3”. The car did not finish the race, due to an engine failure just before the finish line. This version specially prepared for the African rally with Safari chassis, track protection and large bumper, is extremely rare, especially since it has never been re-conditioned. Indeed, the engine problem was fixed at the time and the car has been purchased by its current owner immediately after. He never touched it and kept it in its original configuration. The car, absolutely intact, will require a restart, but its authenticity will justify all the necessary operation and cost. The car comes with registration documents signed by Agnelli, confirming this is a works car. This iconic model is a true historical piece of automotive heritage. It is exceptional to find a competition car as intact, untouched with no modification or restoration. An iconic Italian sport car and one of the late and missed Group B.
